Ruth Ott and Daniel Droz were married in 1948 in Odessa, WA. Husband Dan passed away in 1983. After Dan's death she managed Manpower Temporary Services until she sold it in 1992. Ruth and Ernst Schaefer of York, PA were married in 1993. Ernie preceded her in death in 2010. Her love of stamp collections began when her dad gave her a shell box of stamps and said: "you look like the kind of little girl who could collect stamps." She went on to make stamp books with all of her grandchildren. Ruth held memberships in American Business Women, Magnolia Chapter of Eastern Star, R Chapter of PEO, Royal Neighbors of America, Women of Rotary and St. Nicholas Anglican Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Anglican Church. She is survived by her three sons Roger Droz (Marilyn) of Mukilteo, WA; Thomas Droz (Alina) of Spokane, WA; and Daniel Droz (Teresa) of Spokane, WA; grandchildren: Daniel Droz of Seattle, WA; David Droz (Maria) of Puyallup, WA; Ruthie M. Rittermann (Levi) of Phoenix, AZ; Phoebe Droz of Seattle, WA; Tony Rowley (Jacquie Petersen) of Airway Heights, WA; Mikayla Droz of Olympia, WA; great-grandchildren: Rhylin, Jovie and Alton Rowley; step-children: Jan, Meg, and Ernie Schaefer of Pennsylvania; and two sisters Lois Iksic of Irby, WA. and Anna Jean Hedelius of Ephraim, UT.
At her request no funeral service will be held, but a commemoration will be part of the regular service at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, 630 S. Arthur, Spokane, WA on Sunday, May 30 at 11am. Interment will be at 9am on Memorial Day May 31, 2021 at the Bohemian Cemetery in Odessa, WA.
