Mrs. Celia O'Shonessy, 63, 205 Terrace apartments, a resident here 47 years, died Thursday night at her home after an illness of two days. Mrs. O'Shonessy was born December 11, 1884, at Snow Shoe, Pa. She came to Sioux City at the age of 16 years with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick J. Hayes, and had lived here since. Her husband, Thomas, died here in 1936. She was a member of the Third order regular of St. Francis, Cathedral of the Epiphany, Cathedral confraternity, St. Monica's guild and the Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Madeline O'Shonessy and Miss Virginia O'Shonessy, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Mercedene Bren of Baldwin, N. Y.; two sisters, Mrs. M. J. O'Hara and Mrs. Robert H. Betz, both of Sioux City; a brother, William T. Hayes of Sioux City, and two grandchildren. The body was taken to the Larkin funeral home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Celia O'Shonessy, 63, 205 Terrace apartments, who died Thursday night at her home, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Epiphany. Msgr. Julius J. Berger will officiate and burial will be in Calvary cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. today at the Larkin chapel by the Catholic Daughters of America and at 7 p.m. by the parishioners. Pallbearers will be James McFadden, Martin Noonan, Frank Burns, P. B. Schoen, Leo O'Leary and Joseph P. Hayes.
