SPUR (Special) - Services for LaFaye Marcy, 88, of Spur will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Spur with the Rev. Larry Burton officiating.

Burial will follow in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

She died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, in Poteau, Okla.

She was born Aug. 20, 1910, in Spur. She married Homer Marcy Jr. on June 4, 1938, in Lubbock. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1976.

She lived all her life in Dickens County. She was a school teacher for 40 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Bluebonnet Club and Order of the Eastern Star in Spur. She was at one time the site director for the Spur Senior Citizens Center. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Spur where she taught Sunday school for 60 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Alice Lanelle Cundall of Belle Fourche, S.D., and Anna Rozelle Hardaway of Panama, Okla.; two brothers, W.D. Blair of Spur and Marvin Earl Blair of Stockton, Calif.; a sister, Winnie Gay of Dallas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Family suggests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 415, Spur, TX, 79370.
