Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at Mayfield and Son Funeral Home for Mrs. Charles Douglas Moore, 17, the former Sara Jo Hankins of Epley Station. The Rev. Joe Carrico officiated. Burial was in Berea Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore drowned Monday, June 30, while wading in a water-filled rock quarry behind Antioch Church near the Todd-Logan County line.
Survivors include her husband; mother, Mrs. Lela Hankins of Russellville, two sisters, Mrs. Jean Ramsey of Hopkinsville and Mrs. Joyce Parks of Russellville; and three brothers, Wilson, Ray, and Harold Hankins, all of Russellville.
Note that though she was originally buried in Berea Cemetery she was later removed to Maple Grove to be placed near her parents.
