Beverly was born on Sept. 11, 1934, in Winner, South Dakota, to Dorothy and Ray Alloway.
She graduated from Ord High School in Nebraska, and enjoyed being a cheerleader. After graduating Kearney State College in Nebraska with her teaching credential, she became a school teacher for grades K-6 in a one-room school house in Burwell, Nebraska.
She later moved to Northern California and became a very successful insurance agent, and lived the majority of her life in the Bay Area, primarily in Vallejo and Fairfield, California.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Melody Phipps; brother, Ray Alloway Jr.; sister, Mary Jayne Brockman; grandchildren, Rick Knaus, Mitchell Knaus and spouse Kaye Thao, Krystel Knaus, Kurt Musrasrik, Cheri Musrasrik, Timeeka Mayfield and spouse Nick Mayfield, Temekka Clement and Tanisha Nisby; great-grandchildren, Tyree Knaus-Apps, Persephone Knaus, Mars Knaus and Candace Mayfield.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. Maxwell; son, Timothy Clement; daughter, Candace Clement-Knaus; mother, Dorothy Alloway; father, Ray E. Alloway; and brothers, Gene Alloway and Ronnie Alloway.
She will be remembered for her devotion to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were the light of her life.
Due to pandemic concerns, her family plans to hold a private memorial to celebrate her life on Saturday, May 8, 2021.
The family requests donations be made in her honor to the American Lung Association.
