Catherine (Kay) Molnar of Leisenring passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at Easy Living. Kay graduated from Dunbar Township High School and Durbin's Secretarial School. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Soxman and Dr. Cossell, both of Connellsville. Kay was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Catherine Barlick Molnar; brothers, Julius, William, John Kelly and Francis; sisters, Margaret Reilly, Theresa Manzella, Betty Harshman, Annagrace Cook and Ethel Molnar; and nephew, Dan Harshman. Kay is survived by Karen Harshman and Doug McFadden of Ohio, Gary and Deborah Cook of Virginia, Kevin and Julie Cook of Arizona, and Connie Ober of Pennsylvania; nieces and nephews, Danielle and Jim Muller and Powers, Scott and Kim Harshman, Nathan, Lucas, Denise Wells, Shaun Harshman, Chad and Emily McFadden, Gloria and Miles and Leslie Himanshu Singh. Kay enjoyed her time with family and friends. She loved to entertain, and with her bubbly personality, was the eternal host. She spent lots of time enjoying her player piano, gardening and baking cookies. She loved the beach and the color purple. Family and friends are invited from 2-5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday to Richard Kucera Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Aloysius Gonzaga Roman Catholic Church, Dunbar. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to St. Aloysius Church. Special thanks to Darlene, Darren and Haley at Easy Living, and also friends Marian Ellenberger and Nathan Fisch. A celebration of life will be held this summer.
