Ada F. Burress was the daughter of Ignacious W. Burress and Carrie Angeline Miller Burress, who also lived at Moro. She was a sister of Robert DeWitt Burress, who also is buried here, and the aunt of Robert Woodrow Burress of Moro, who is listed as informant on her death certificate. Lee County marriage records show that in 1897 Ada married a man named Henry Matt (or Mott) in Lee County, but by the time of the 1900 census she was back living with her mother and listed as divorced. She is listed as "single" on her Arkansas death certificate.

In 1910, 1920, and again in 1940 she was living in the household of her brother Robert D. Burress at Moro, and in 1940 it says she was living in the same place five years earlier. She was listed as "single" in 1910 and 1940 and "widow" in 1920. In 1910 and 1940 her surname is dittoed as Burress, and in 1920 it was re-written either as Mott or Matt after first being dittoed as Burress. She has not been found in the 1930 census.
