He was a native of Clinch County but had lived most of his life in Ware County. He was the son of the late Bill Wildes and Eliza Beverly Wildes. His wife was the late Annie Crawford Wildes.
Mr. Wildes was a retired farmer and a member of Zion Rest Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Fannie Strickland, Waycross, Mrs. Louise Paul, Orlando Fla., and Mrs. Mildred Baxter, Boynton Beach, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Jane Corbitt, Manor; four brothers, Harley Wildes and Charlie Wildes, both of Waycross, George Wildes and Will Wildes, both of Brunswick; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
Miles-Odum Cemetery is in charge.
