Children are two sons Felix C., & Lorenzo Dow and one daughter Paralee Victoria Amason .Her Husband John died in the Civil War while serving in Hilliards Legion and she remarried a Robertson (records lost during the war)and he died shortly after the marriage and she never remarried .She did file for some money owed to deceased husband John Amason for his service in the war and she signed for it using her Robertson name.
She and the children came to Wood County TX. after the war with her parents and siblings. They went to New Orleans and took a steamboat to Jefferson Texas then took wagons to Wood County and on the 1880 Census she was living with her son Felix Amason and on the 1900 and 1910 census she was living with her daughter Paralee Amason-Harry
Sarah is buried in the Harry family plot

Footnote: ignore the ages listed for John and Sarah being in their mid 30's on the 1860 census ...in my research doing our family tree on both sides for the last few years I've found that census takers do make mistakes so by going through military records for John and the census of 1880 ,1900 and 1910 for Sarah the 1860 census ages are proven wrong.I have copies of the other census' mentioned I can provide those If anyone wants a copy ..also on the 1880 census where Sarah was living with Felix and it states Mary as a daughter that is another mistake Mary Shoemaker -Amason is Felix's wife and they had a son named Lee Anderson Amason mem# 43755901
