He was born on August 2, 1944 to Glyda and Lawrence Auxier. Larry was a life long resident of Des Moines, where he met his wife, Suzanne, and raised their 3 children. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Des Moines with his family.
Larry worked as an electronics technician during his career after attending a 2-year vocational/ tech school. He worked for RCA, McLeod, MTC, Nortel, Sprint and Fair Play Trans Lux.
He is survived by his children, Kristin Auxier, Eric Auxier (Lisa Ray) and Gregg Auxier all of Des Moines; sister, Fran McCombs (Terry); brother, Garry Auxier (Donna); his six grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
His parents, 2 other siblings, and his wife of 47 years preceed him in death.
Any donations made will be gifted to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
