E. D. KLEIN NATIVE OF VERONA, DIES
Ervin D. Klein, 75, of 1410 Third St., Whitmer's Trailer Park, Zethyrhills, Fla., died Friday at his home after a short illness.
He was born in Verona Sept. 12, 1893, a son of Faltien and Emma Dann Klein. On March 16, 1919, he married Florence Herring at New London.
The couple had made their home in Verona until four years ago, when they moved to Florida.
Mr. Klein had been employed by Lane's Construction Co., Verona, and had operated a garage in Verona. He was last employed by the Mayerson Construction Co., Verona, retiring in 1965.
He was educated in Verona schools and attended Verona Methodist Church.
The couple had observed their 50th wedding anniversary this year at their Florida home, with their son, Francis E. Klein, Zethyrhills, and a daughter, Mrs. Benjamin J. (Grace) Gilbert, Oneida, attending.
Also surviving are three other daughters, Mrs. George A. (Clara) Edy, Lee Center; Mrs. Leo J. (Pearl) Schuler, Rome; and Mrs. Donald R. (Edith) Plantz, Verona; 20 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements, in charge of Strong Funeral Home will be announced later.
