Richard Stanley May, age 71, passed away November 1, 2007, at his home in Nephi, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 6, 1936 in Gunlock, Utah, to Charles Stanley Pulsipher and Mamie Bundy May.

He married Marilyn Chloe Mikesell on January 27, 1958 in Cedar City, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple November 9, 1963. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. He was a temple worker at the Manti Temple. He owned and operated May Automotive until his retirement in 2000. He was civic minded and was on numerous counsels. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. His passion since retirement has been restoring old cars. He loved to fly and owned his own Airplane for many years.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn and four children, Angel Johnson of Mission Viejo, CA; Scott (Nancy) May of Nephi, UT; Rick (Jodean) May of Mesa, AZ; Jackie (Corey) Christensen of Levan, UT; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by eight sisters and one brother; his mother and father; and one grandson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2007, in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 N. 100 W. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W. 300 N. and at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.
