Wife: Mary (Miller) Chupp, daughter of Jacob E. and Elizabeth (Miller) Miller
Tbey married in 1879. Mary died [pregnant] at 36 yrs of age, leaving Samuel
with 10 children, age 1 to 17 yrs. He never remarried.
When all the children were married and moved away, Samuel chose to move
to Taylor County, Wisconsin where his son, Joseph lived.
Mary is buried in the Yoder Cemetery, Reno County, Kansas.
They were members of the Amish church.

Opinion of the contributor is that the obituary contains an error. Samuel went to Wisconsin in April, 1930 from Reno County, Kansas, not Elkhart County, Indiana, where he was born.
