MICHAEL WAYNE MURPHY, 32, of 101 North Evergreen, formerly of Dyersburg, Tenn., a hair stylist, was found dead early Friday in the swimming pool at the University Club. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at North Raleigh Baptist Church with burial in Woodhaven Memory Gardens in Millington. Munford Funeral Home-Millington Chapel has charge. Murphy was a 1973 graduate of Millington Central High School and had attended Memphis Area Vocational Technical School and Stage One The Hair School. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, where he also performed volunteer work with St. John's Food Pantry, and worked with the American Red Cross. Murphy leaves his parents, Rev. and Mrs. James P. Murphy of Millington; four sisters, Mrs. Ann Todd of Memphis, Mrs. Amy Murphree of Millington, Mrs. Amelia Bell of Union City, Tenn, and Mrs. Annette Ripley of Oak Harbor, Wash.
