Mrs. Trimmer Funeral Held Carson City, June 24 (Special) -

Mrs. Elizabeth Trimmer, member of an early pioneer family of Alpine county, died Saturday morning in Carson-Tahoe Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Trimmer was born December 17, 1869, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Vallem. She lived at the family home in Wade Valley until 1894 when she married Robert A. Trimmer, member of a pioneer family which arrived in Carson Valley in 1858. Mr. Trimmer has a Nevada Pioneer Certificate given only to those who lived in Nevada when it was still a territory.

After their marriage, the couple lived in Santa Barbara, Calif., for a time. They returned to Diamond Valley and purchased the family property from his father. In 1909 they sold it and after traveling, bought the oldest ranch in Nevada from Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Frey in Genoa, where they have lived since.

Mrs. Trimmer is survived by her husband; three children, Arnold of Genoa, Mrs. Velma Lamar, Reno, and Mrs. Hazel Anderson, Carson City; a sister, Mrs. Bert Orcutt, Ledger, Mont.; three brothers, Ray and George Vallem, Stockton, Calif., and Robert Vallem, Winchester, Ida.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held in Genoa Community Church Tuesday afternoon.

Interment was in the family plot in the Mottsville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Capital City Mortuary.
