OBITUARY - Kay Ellen Kapp - SEPTEMBER 2, 1951 – APRIL 23, 2021
Kay Ellen Kapp, age 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, April 23, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Quata Shelton and husband, Harry Kapp.
She will be lovingly missed by her children Andrew (Marlene) Cohle, Dustin (Jodie) Cohle, Corey (Elisa) Cohle; stepchildren Dany Kapp and Dana Kapp; grandchildren Ashton, Trenton, Braxton, Lorelei, Vincent; brother, Darrell (Joyce) Shelton; nieces Natalie Shelton and Leigh Shelton; nephew, Max Shelton; and many friends.

Kay was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, graduating high school in 1969. She attended William Jewell College, receiving a bachelors in History in 1973. She obtained a Master's degree in Library Science from the University of Missouri. Kay and family moved to Michigan in 1982, where she raised three boys. Kay enjoyed playing tennis, watching sports, traveling, volunteering for multiple organizations, and spending time with her family and friends. Kay made friends easily and enjoyed socializing and gathering with others. She always made sure her family and friends felt loved.

Memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St., Byron Center.
