Funeral services for Mr. Ray Earl Adams, Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Reverends Bruce Maxwell and Alcey Cripps officiating. Interment will follow in Malone Cemetery, Ball, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.


Mr. Adams, 78, of Ball, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 25, 2021, in his residence.


He was a constable for eight years, an alderman for four years, and worked for the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Department for twenty-five years. He also served on the district water board for seven years and coached Ward 10 Dixie Youth baseball for many years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.


He is preceded in death by his father, Dub Adams and wife, Bonnie Adams; his mother, Mable LaBougois; one son, Ray Adams, Jr; two brothers, Noel "Bull" Adams and his wife, Izarona and E.J. Wheat; two sisters, Doris Malone and her husband, Eddie and Wanda Wheat.


A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
