Alexandre' (Alex) Dale Asche was born on March 24, 1981, in São Paulo, Brasil. Alex was baptized at Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City, MN, on November 11, 1984, and was officially adopted by his parents Dale and Janet Asche of Clara City, MN, on April 30, 1985.
Alex professed his faith at Bethany Reformed Church on February 6, 2000.
As the oldest child, Alex was a big help on his family farm with the beef cow and calf herd. He also assisted with bringing his younger brother and sister to activities at church and school… and with aggravating them with his brotherly love. Alex was active in choir, theater, and art at MACCRAY public school, and in the One Accord Choir at Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City, MN. After graduating with the MACCRAY High School Class of 2000, Alex furthered his education at Alexandria Technical and Community College in Alexandria, MN, where he obtained a degree as a Computer Hardware Technician in 2003.
He worked in computer technology support positions at various companies in the Twin Cities Metro Area. Later, he went on to attend Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN, where he obtained his Associate of Arts degree in 2013. He also completed coursework in the area of psychology at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN, and in the areas of psychology and photography at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in Minneapolis, MN.
Alex was married to the love of his life, Rebecca (Becky) Mae Litzau of Glencoe, MN at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (Helen Township) on June 22, 2013. Alex and Becky resided in Chaska, MN and enjoyed 5 years of marriage. The secret to their matrimonial bliss was that Alex was happiest when Becky was telling him to behave himself, and Becky was happy to do it over and over again.
In 2014, Alex began his dream of owning his own photography business by opening Elbee & Hobbes Photography, where his natural talent as a creative photographic artist flourished. His work always captured the personality of the subject and is loved and cherished in many homes around the Midwest. He leaves a truly beautiful legacy behind through his work.
Other than his passion for creating artistic photography, Alex enjoyed eating out, video gaming, movies, music concerts, and hanging out with his nieces and nephews. He had a special joy for his cats (Elbee, Otis and Charlie) and for his beloved Goldendoodle, Gilly. He will be missed for his quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor - which rarely got him into trouble because of his unbelievable charm.
Alex passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the University of Minnesota Hospital from complications of his almost 2 year battle with colon cancer at the age of 37 years. Blessed be his memory. He was surrounded by family who held his hand and helped him find his way Home.
