Mrs. Bettie Smith Baker, 91 of Orlando, passed from this life on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Rockcastle Health & Rehabilitation Center in Brodhead. She was born June 4, 1929 to the late Dick and Carrie Robinson Smith. She was married to Robert Lee Baker for 54 years. They made their home in Rockcastle County their entire life. She always loved her flowers, cooking big dinners for holidays, sewing, and traveling.

She is survived by her children, Rosalind Philbeck and husband Gene, Teresa Philbeck, Pamela Cox, and Mark Baker and wife Michelle, all of Mt. Vernon, Michael Baker and wife Barbara of Walton, and Anthony Baker and wife Wilma of Berea; and two brothers, Elbert Smith of Dayton, OH and Ray Smith of Xenia, OH. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren, and her special life-long childhood friend and sister-in-law, Beatrice Baker Hensley Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Baker; her sisters, Stella Smith Sexton and husband Bluford, and Opal Smith Mees and husband Howard; a brother, Robert Smith, and two infant brothers; her sons-in-law, Estill Philbeck and Luther Cox, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Ada Smith.

Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be conducted Thursday, April 29 at 2:00 PM at the Dowell & Martin Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Jake Harding, Chaplain of Rockcastle Health & Rehab. Burial will follow in Briarfield Cemetery.
