Obituary: Edwin Ross Huffman. 77. of 197 Indiana Ave. on Orchard Mesa. died at 2:17 a.m. today in St.Mary's Hospital following a long illiness. Mr. Huffman was an early day resident of Fruita, Later engaged in the livestock business on Pinon Mesa, and worked for the old Uintah railroad. Born Feb. 24, 1881, at Verdi, Kan., Mr. Huffman came to Western Colorado in 1897. His first wife, Rena Bell Carmon, died in 1919 at Roosevelt Utah. he Later married Della May Baker, on July 12, 1910 in Grand Junction. The family moved to Oregon in 1911, returning to Grand Junction in 1954. Surviving are his wife, two sons; Carmon Huffman of Dorena, Ore., and William Darwin Huffman of Wenatchee Wash., four daughters; Mrs. Mayme Hancock and Mrs.Jack Blaisdell, Both of Grand Junction. Mrs. George Hiad? of Dorena, and Mrs George Van Loan of Glade Park a sister Mr. Jessie Roch of Grand Junction; 14 Grand Children and four Great Grand children. The Starks Funeral Home will be in Charge of arrangements.
