Loving mother, grandmother, and friend: Joyce Marie Brown Chaposky, 85, of Carlisle, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2021 with her loving family by her side.
She was born on October 03, 1935 in Darlington and was a daughter of the late Leonard John and Verna Louise (Heaton) Brown.
Joyce was a 1953 graduate of East Palestine High School in Ohio.
She was a career military wife and traveled the world with five children and her loving husband: Joseph.
Joyce was a member of St. Ann Byzantine Catholic Church, Harrisburg.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and cheering on Penn State. "Love you, Love you, Love you."
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband: U.S. Army Master Sergeant Joseph Chaposky (Retired).
She is survived by her loving daughters: Rosemarie (Clifford) Canant, Maryann (Kenneth) Yohn, and Judith A. Bitner; her loving sons: George J. (Debbie) Chaposky and Joseph C. Chaposky; her more than fifty grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister: Helen (Jerry) Barnhouse; and, her brother: Michael (Dee) Brown.
A viewing will be held from 06:00 to 08:00 PM on Sunday, May 02, 2021 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle where the Panachida will be held at 07:30 PM.
The Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, May 03, 2021 at 10:30 AM in the St. Ann Byzantine Catholic Church, 5408 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, with Father Taras Lovska officiating.
Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
