Marion Dillard Armstrong died at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at his home at 108 South Sixth street in Duncan. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
He had lived in Stephens county most of his life and operated a cafe. A resident of Duncan for the past two years, prior to that time he had lived in Comanche for 15 years and before then, he lived in Marlow.
Armstrong was born on March 1, 1892, at Ardmore, He was a member of the Methodist Church. On March 1, he would have been 63 years of age.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lilly Armstrong, Comanche; two sons, Myrl D. and Darwin, both of Livermore, Calif.; one brother, D. M. Armstrong, Walters, and four grandchildren. Survivors in Marlow include a sister-in-law, Mrs. J. W. Armstrong; two nephews George and Forest Armstrong, and a niece, Mrs. Oleta Cotton.
Service was held in the Callaway-Smith Chapel at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 20, conducated by Rev. Murphy Duncan, minister of the First Methodist church. Burial was in the Marlow cemetery with Callaway-Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Loyd Mayes, Malcolm Mayes, L. B. Mayes. J. D. Morrison, Flow Briscoe, and W. G. Booth.
