Mom was born on a small farm in Guthrie, Missouri. She was the second oldest child of Chester & Alpha Yancey. She attended school in New Bloomfield receiving the valedictorian award in her senior year.

While visiting relatives in Fresno, she fell in love with California. Returning to Fresno in 1942, she married Homer Lazarus. She produced three children by this marriage. She married again in 1956 to Fay "Rep" Replogle, this marriage lasting until his passing in 1994.

She worked at Bank of America, Shell Oil Company and Del Webb Construction before moving on to her lifelong career in Real Estate. She became the first woman director of the Women's Realty Board for the 1961 term and elected second woman President to the Fresno Realty Board in 1973. Investing in properties along with "flipping homes" before it became a national past time is included in her achievements. She obtained her brokers license, purchasing the first Century 21 franchise in Fresno and continued to hold her honorary membership in the California Association of Realtors throughout her life.

Throughout the years she was active in several organizations such as World Impact, World Vision and St. Jude's along with being on the trustee committee at her beloved church, "The Bridge", and on the advisory board at Samaritan Women. She loved caring for the babies at church and always had a special needs child "under her wings".

We learned by example. Mom taught us the importance of honest work ethics, caring for the less fortunate, empathy, love of animals and generosity of spirit.

Mom loved dancing, gardening, history and travel. Her annual visit to Missouri brought her great joy. She truly loved all of her family, always returning with wonderful memories. Her fishing expeditions around the world with Rep also brought great happiness.

Mom is survived by her children, Jim Lazarus, Linda Ruiz, Gloria Garrett and Curtis Replogle; grandchildren, Carey & Bob Davis, Kelly & Tony Canu, Nick Garrett; great-grandchildren, Holden & Robert Davis; her sister, Mary Lou Patterson; and many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Sandy Darringer, Nancy & Jerry Willey and the wonderful staff at St. Agnes Hospice as well as the late Genevieve Duran and Aunt Dean.

We will miss and love you, "Little Red"...you were an energetic light in our universe.
Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's.
