Graveside services for Gladys Laverne Blackmon age 75 of Palestine will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Denson Cemetery. Pastor J. Darryl Conner will be officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blackmon passed away the early morning hours on Friday, April 23, 2021 at her residence. She was born September 18, 1945 in Maydelle, to Forrest Reagan Acker and Susie Pryor Acker. She was a homemaker.
Laverne, a mother of five, was preceded in death by her parents, a brother James Reagan Acker and youngest daughter Nancy age 30.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mickey Blackmon, son Kevin and wife Kathleen, daughter Shelia, daughter Mary Strube and husband James , son Stephen and wife Suzy, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 26, 2021 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
