Willie Everett 'Woody' Woodward, Jr, 60, of Miami, Oklahoma, died at his home following a long illness. He was born April 17, 1947, in Shawnee to Willie Everett and Wanda (Douglas) Woodward, Sr. He attended schools in Shawnee and Seminole Junior College. He moved to Miami in 1992 from Shawnee. He was a Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a sergeant. He was a general manager for Budweiser in Lawton and worked as a general manager for Coors. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and American Association of Retired Persons. He married Nancy June Jenkins on Sept. 18, 1968, in Norman. They were later divorced. Survivors include one daughter, Cheri (Mike) Hensley of Oklahoma City; one son, Billy (Heidi) Woodward of San Diego, Calif; grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; his mother, Wanda (Douglas) Woodward Bethel-Pope; his stepfather, Gordon Bethel, and two sisters, Loretta Davis and Annetta Jones. Service at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee. The Fort Sill Casualty Office provides graveside military honors.
