Rockton - Alfred J. Schmoldt, 34, Rockton resident, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the Winnebago county hospital. He had been ill since Christmas.
Mr. Schmoldt was born in Monroe May 5, 1918. He married the former Delores Rose Mishler in Monroe Dec. 25, 1940, and moved to Rockton nine years ago with his family. Mr. Schmoldt was employed by the Rockton Felt and Paper Co.
Surviving are his widow; three daughters, Inez, Judy and Linda; two sons, Ronald and Jimmy; his mother, Mrs. Anna Schmoldt, Monroe; a brother, Myron E., Rockton; four sisters, Mrs. Tony Goerlitz and Mrs. Albert Neuenswander, both of Monroe, and Mrs. Oscar Gaulrapp and Mrs. Lloyd Fredericks, both of Freeport.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Rockton Methodist church, the Rev. W.E. Corwin officiating. Burial will be in Rockton cemetery. The family will meet friends between 7 and 9 tonight at the Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer mortuary.
