Marilyn J. Boyer Phillips
GALION: Marilyn J. Boyer Phillips, 72, of Galion, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Mill Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Galion.
Born October 11, 1937 in Kilburn, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Gladys (Troutman) Anderson.
On May 18, 1957 she married John Edward Boyer and he died on March 15, 1976.
She then married Gerald E. Phillips on June 30, 1978. He preceded her in death June 21, 2002.
Marilyn was a graduate of Ashley High School and attended Windfall Emanuel United Church of Christ.
She was a homemaker, a member of Morrow County Grange, Morrow County Farm Bureau and Galion Golden Age Club.
Surviving are her three daughters and two sons-in-law, Janet Witschi of Galion, Connie and Charles Tate of Clifton and Ruther and George Lever of Ruther Glen, VA; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Randie Boyer of Shelby and David and Tracy Boyer of Galion; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Don and Nancy Anderson, of Spring Lake, MI and Jim Anderson, of Plain City.
She was preceded in death by one brother, William Anderson.
(Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2010 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 at with Rev. Loyd Caudill officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park in Lewis Center.
