Private graveside services will be held at Creagleville Cemetery for Mrs. Norma Pounds Allie, 87, of Grand Saline, with Dr. Jordan Stone officiating.

She passed away April 20, 2021, in Tyler.

Mrs. Allie was born August 24, 1933, in Hebron, Indiana, to Oval Gilbert & Mary Margaret Hudson Pounds.

She spent most of her life in Indiana, then about 20 years in Virginia, before moving to Grand Saline a month ago. She was Baptist and had coached a women's softball team that won the State Championship in Indiana in the '70s.

Mrs. Allie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ivan Pounds; and sister, Alma Douglas.

Survivors include her sons, Thomas Allie and wife Cheryl of Grand Saline, Mark Allie and wife Cathy of Herndon, VA, and John Allie and wife Caroline of Maryland; daughter, Malinda Olinske and husband Lee of Auburn, Indiana; sister, Louise Gretzinger of Indiana; twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
