Graveside services for Zach B. Jones, 78, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Mr. Jones died Tuesday at Medical Center Hospital.
He was born December 18, 1907 in San Angelo. He married Thelma Taylor in San Angelo.
He moved to Odessa 20 years ago from Colorado. He was a longtime rancher and a former landman for Delhi Taylor Oil Company. He was a retired shop foreman for Odessa Country Club. He was a member of Sherwood Baptist in Bloomfield, Colorado.
Survivors include his wife; one son, David T. Jones of Enid, Oklahoma; three daughters, Jean Abbott and Ronda Ann Varley, both of Odessa and Zach Evelyn Nichols of Aurora, Colorado; a brother, Marshall Jones of San Angelo; a sister, Sarah Frances Adamson of Austin; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
