George E. Murray, 47, of Overlook Ave., owner and operator of Oak HIll Atlantic Service Station, was found dead by his wife, in a car, parked in the garage Tuesday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at South Side Hospital. The Mahoning County Coroner said he died of carbon monoxide poisoning. The coroner's office is still investigating the circumstances. The car had been driven out of the garage when the police arrived, so it could not be determined if the death was accidental.

Born in McClellandtown, Pa., a son of Edward and Ada Beatty Murray, Mr Murray came here 22 years ago. He managed the service station for 18 years, was a member of Western Star Lodge, Gasoline Dealers Assoc and attended First Baptist Temple.

Beside his wife, the former Yvonne Ellinger, whom he married in 1940, he leaves a daughter, Barbara, and a son, Richard G., at home; two sisters, Mrs Ruth Palancher of Pittsburgh and Mrs Alma Frew of Akron; and three brothers, Oliver of Youngstown, Robert of Carmichael, Pa. and Kenneth of Uniontown, Pa.

Note: Ada Beatty Murray's husband, in her memorial, is listed as George Gladden Murray, who was killed in a tragic explosion.
