Exeter - Bill Young, 79, a long-time resident of Exeter, died in Vancouver, Washington, on April 11, 2021. Bill was born in Los Angeles and worked as a deputy sheriff for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department; he then worked as a deputy sheriff for the Tulare County Sheriff's Office until his retirement. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Meredith (Storme). He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Murphy of Portland, Oregon, and Lisa (Jeff) Bjarke of Nashville, Tennessee; and one brother, Dave, of Los Angeles.
