MRS. JENNIE L. EASTIN
Mrs. Jennie L. Eastin of 1611 W. Orange Grove Ave., a resident of Pomona for the last 33 years, passed away in Pomona Valley Community Hospital at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. She had been seriously ill for only a week.
Mrs. Eastin was born Jan. 20, 1888, in Marion County, Mo. She came to California from Wichita. Kan., in 1924 and lived in El Monte for a year before coming to Pomona. She was a member of the First Church of God and belonged to the W.C.T.U.
She is survived by four sons, Verr C. Eastin and Coy W. Eastin, both of Pomona, Aurul V. Eastin of Macon, Ga., and Garald L. Eastin of Palm Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn E. Hughes of Upland; a brother, Noel Bailey of Grand Junction, Colo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Nola Burleson of Pomona, Mrs. Laura Stage of Pueblo, Colo., and Mrs. Gertrude Klemme of Clinton, Okla. There are 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Todd Memorial North Chapel. The Rev. Herschel D. Rice, pastor of the First Church of God, will officiate. Interment will he made in Pomona Cemetery by the side of her husband, George N. Eastin, who passed away in 1945.
