Mrs. Alsia Elizabeth Buford, 78, mother of John Buford, Wagoner, died Friday, January 21, 1949, at her home in Hulbert. Mrs. Buford had been a resident of Wagoner and Cherokee Counties for 21 years. She was born September 11, 1868.
Funeral services for Mrs. Buford were held Sunday afternoon in the Hulbert Holiness Church with the Rev. Ernest Busby officiating. Burial was in the Hulbert Cemetery under the direction of the Green Funeral Home.
Mrs. Buford is survived by three sons: John of Wagoner, and Witt and Blake, both of Hulbert, and four daughters; Manda Rice and Edna McDaniel of Hulbert; Alafair Smith, of Prague, Oklahoma and Ida Rotramel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Twenty-three grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren also survive.
