WEST PERU - Mrs. Stella M. Wentworth, 92, died Friday at Rumford Community Hospital. She resided on the Ridge Road in West Peru and had resided there all her life.
She was born April 17, 1883 in Peru, the daughter of Samuel and Emilie Babb Howard. She was a member of the United Baptist Church, West Peru, church treasurer for several years and Sunday school teacher for many years. She was postmaster of West Peru Post Office for 30 and a half years until retirement in December of 1944. she was married to the late Albert H. Wentworth.
Only nieces and nephews survive.
