John William Russell, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Russell was born August 6th, 1886, and died at his home five miles northwest of Moline December 4th, 1906 after an illness of six days of pneumonia. Age, 20 years, 3 months and 29 days. He was a dear devoted son and brother and leaves father, mother, five sisters, four brothers and many friends to mourn his sad departure. Funeral services were held in Moline at St. Mary's Catholic church by Father Mahen of Wichita. Many friends and neighbors followed the remains to the new cemetery one and one half miles south of Moline where he was laid to rest.
