Lee was born in Houston, Texas to Jonathan Nathaniel Bishop and Rilla Gore Bishop on November 19, 1947. He was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 30 years. Lee was a retired engineer with the Union Pacific Railroad. He loved to cook and was the best baker around. He also enjoyed ranching and taking care of his cows. Lee loved his family and enjoyed get togethers and cooking for them.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda Louise Bishop; a son, Adam Bishop; and a brother, Kem Bishop. He is survived by his son, Lee Bishop, Jr. and his wife April; brothers, Van Bishop and Pat Bishop; sisters, Silvia Dulaney and Sherry Abell; 2 grandchildren, Miranda Bishop and Anna Handorf and her husband Dustin; and 1 great grandson, Rhett Handorf.
