The death certificate lists "Fred Croft, Jr*" was an infant that died at 1 day of age, at 3am of "weakened condition at birth" according to death. certificate. The infant was born and died at home at 804 E 10 St. in Chattanooga.

The informant (ie: father) was listed as "Fred Croft" [Sr.]. The parents were listed as "Fred Croft" born in Gadsen, AL and Minnie Jackson born in unknown location. I believe this is an error as these are were the parents of the father, Fred Croft, Jr. and would be the baby's paternal grandparents. The "mother" and "father" to be listed were supposed to have been the parents of the deceased infant.
