Joy Rene Saunders, a resident of Ozark Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. She was 59 years old. Joy Rene Rowell was born on December 9, 1959 in Orangeburg, SC, she lived the early part of her life in Jacksonville, FL. She graduated from Terry Parker High School and was employed with BellSouth for over 30 years as a Customer Services Representative, Services Technician, Lineman and Cable Splicer. She was also a Worker's Union Leader prior to her retirement and has been a resident of Ozark ever since. Joy was a loyal and fun-loving friend, an enthusiastic story teller, and an avid Auburn University fan who loved sports, adventure, spending quality time with her family, and playing with her canine companions, Storm and Bella. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Stoops, and her step-son Randy Stoops. She is survived by her two sons, her step-daughter, two her grandchildren, her parents, one brother, and one nephew.

Services will be held on Saturday March 2, 2019 at the First Baptist Church Chapel located at 140 Magnolia Ave, Merritt Island FL, at 10:00am, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend.
