Services for Deward Lang Chrismond Jr., 76, of Eupora were Sept. 24, 2009, at Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora with the Revs. Trey Harper, Jeep Pepper and Joe Landrum officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 4, 1932, in Webster County. Mr. Chrismond was a retired supervisor with Mersman and Tennaco, and a member of Eupora First United Methodist Church. He died Sept. 22, 2009, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Pepper Chrismond of Eupora; a daughter, Debbie Chrismond Hardee of Canton; a nephew and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Deward and Sanphard Chrismond; and two brothers, John S. and Gerald Chrismond.
Pallbearers were Kenny Carmichael, Terry Chrismond, David Love, Richard Love, Robert Pepper and Phillip Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Junior Simpson, Doug Wentz and Tennaco employees.

EUPORA — The funeral for Mr. Deward Chrismond Jr. will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with burial in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Webster County. Visitation will be Wednesday today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is in charge of all arrangements.
