Jacob Duckett died in 1853 and left minor children. He is buried in the Casey Family Cemetery in the Rawhide, now Cloverdale, Community of Lauderdale County, Alabama. The cemetery was vandalized some years ago and most of the grave markers were broken and the cemetery otherwise pretty much destroyed.

Br Gen Levi Casey's widow, Elizabeth Duckett Casey is buried in that family cemetery, as is Jacob Duckett Casey and two of his wives, Charity Whitmire Casey and Sarah Francis Lucas Casey. Rachel F Pennington Casey is buried in Newberry County, South Carolina and Rachel F Rice is buried next to her second husband elsewhere. Some of Jacob Duckett's children are also buried there.
