Born July 7, 1924, in Union County, SC, he was the son of the late Fred Mason and Eva (Foster) Robinson and the husband of the late Ruby (Brown) Robinson.
Retired from Cone Mills in Carlisle, SC, with 28 years of service, he was a member of Jonesville United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include a son, Sidney B. Robinson and his wife Denise of Jonesville; two granddaughters, Ginger Robinson Crowder and her husband Chris of Boiling Springs, and Faith Robinson Taylor of Spartanburg; four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Samantha, Andrew, and Madison; five sisters, Kelly Bevis of Union, Josie White of Rock Hill, Dora Holladay, Francis Beck, and Barbara Price, all of Charlotte, NC; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He was predeceased by three brothers, David, Wilson, and Thomas Robinson; and a sister, Ruth Crapps.
Visitation was 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, October 19, 2007, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel.
Cryptside services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2007, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex conducted by the Rev. Scott Gilmer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
