Dewey Lawrence West, 35, former Salt Lake resident, died Wednesday morning of a heart ailment at his residence in San Jose, Calif., according to word received by Salt Lake relatives.
Funeral services and burial will be conducted in San Jose.
Mr. West was born in Pleasant Grove, Aug. 23, 1913, a son of Lawrence H. and Lydia Carlson West. On Feb. 23, 1941, he was married to Vivian Ribisi in San Jose.
Mrs. West moved to San Jose in 1930 and was owner of Cooperative Ice Company there. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors, besides his widow, include a son, Kenneth, a daughter Marjorie, his parents Lawrence H. West, Pleasant Grove and Mrs. Lydia C. Sorenson, Salt Lake City; a brother, Therold C. West, Santa Clara, Calif. and a half-sister, Mrs. Joan Strasburg, Pleasant Grove.
