Son and only child of Edwin and Idella A. (Smith) Amidon; age 16 and at school with parents in 1900 census Richmond, NH. His father was a house painter.

He was age 26 in the 1910 census in Richmond residing with his grandfather Henry Whipple age 79, a farmer, and his mother Idella A. Amidon age 54, widowed.

Married Edith M. Caperon.

He worked as chauffer and later in the blanket mill in Troy New Hampshire.

Died at home age 64, 5mos and 28 days of a cerebral hemorrhage, a resident of Richmond for 13 yrs prior to his death. He was buried in South Cemetery on Aug 8, 1948.

His widowed mother, Idella A. (Smith), died at age 80 in 1935, a lifetime resident of Richond of a cerebral hemorrhage, the daughter of Sarah Frisher and adopted daughter of Henry Whipple.
