Longtime WAC member Woody Budil passed away at Tacoma General Hospital on 7-31, finally giving up the fight against CIDP, a crippling muscle disease. He was with his wife of 56 years, his daughter, two granddaughters and their spouse. Woody was a life member of WAC. We started going to shows in 1961 at Federal Way High School. He loved buying, selling and trading his firearms and anything related. He missed coming to the shows and shooting the breeze with all his friends. The disease robbed him of that pleasure. Woody always had a story or joke to share with anyone that would stop to chat with him. He had a love of history and would read for hours true accounts of the past. He loved the old guns that told stories of where, when and how they were made and used. He loved visiting the battlefields and hearing the stories they would tell and the cannon fire.
Woody now has his wings, he will be missed more than words can say.
Tribute written by Woody's wife.
