Virginia Fay (Allen) Behrens Bradford, 88, of Mineral Wells passed away on February 3, 2013 in Weatherford, Texas. She was born in Brazos, Texas; the daughter of Houston and Virginia (Bradford) Allen. Virginia graduated from Santo High School in 1942 and went on to attend Weatherford Jr. College and TCU. She moved to Midland to work for Sinclair Oil, which is where she met her first husband Carl Behrens; at a church function for service men, they were married in 1944. They moved to Brazos, Texas; back home to her. Her husband was transferred to California with work for about 10 years; while there she attended San Diego State College. In 1962 they moved back to Brazos, Texas and built a home. She went back to work for Perry Equipment and was there for 20 years. Carl passed away in 1980; while at a Bradford family reunion she met George Bradford, they were married in 1981 in St. Petersburg, Florida and were there until moving back to Brazos in 1996. She was close to the Lord and baptized young at Dobbs Valley Church in a stock tank. She attended church wherever she lived. In her spare time she loved to travel, grow flowers and had an extensive egg collection consisting of over 1000 eggs from several countries and many states. She will be missed by many including son: Carl Grady Behrens and wife Linda; step-son: Tom Bradford; step-daughters: Kay and husband Jon Webb and Kathy Garrett; grandchildren: Stephanie Danell and husband Mike McCrary, Jason Grady and wife Rachel Behrens, Jay Lynn and wife Bevala Moore, Karen Sue Moore, Leah Creed, Jennifer Nissen, Audra and Ashley Millhouse; great-grandchildren: 13 and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday February 6, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Funeral service is Friday February 7, 2014 at Dobbs Valley Church at 2pm, burial will follow at Dobbs Valley Cemetery.
