LAKELAND - Verle Gene Arney, 86 passed away March 10th from multiple organ failure.
Verle worked at General Motors in Fairfax, Kansas, for 30 years and was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 31. He was a V5 Aviation Cadet in the United States Naval Reserve.
Survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty. Married daughter, Barabara Wren and husband George of Turney, MO. Son, Douglas, who has also been the caretaker of his mom and dad for the last 10 years. Son, James Michael of Kansas City, MO. Son, Robert (deceased) his widow Mary, Kansas City, Kansas. Brother John Arney, Iowa. Many nieces and nephews, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
