Lula Mae Polk, 72, of Abilene passed away peacefully under the care of Hendrick Hospice in Abilene, Texas on April 2, 2021.
On May 27, 1948 Walter and Lula M. (Price) Polk welcomed a beautiful baby girl they named Lula Mae into the world. Lula was born in Houston, Texas. At a young age Lula came to live at the Abilene State School now Abilene Supported Living Center. She gained many special relationships from her time there.
Lula Mae was preceded in death by her mother, Lula M. Walker; and her sister, Lois Polk. She is survived y her father, Walter Polk, Jr. and his wife, Maggie; brother, Russell Polk; sister, Laura Walker; two aunts, Doris Morehead and Beatrice Gray; 1 uncle Robert Polk; special cousin, Robert Mayfield; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and her beloved Abilene Supported Living Family.
