LaVerne Joyce Anderson was born Sept. 22, 1924, in Garder, ND, the daughter of Johann and Sigurros Anderson. She grew up and attended schools in Edinburg. She married Thilford Sundvor May 12, 1943, in Grand Forks. They farmed near Edinburg. He worked in the oil industry, and they resided in North Dakota, Wyoming, Utah and New Mexico. Thilford Sundvor died in 1973, and she moved to Moorhead.
