DIED
Our community was greatly shocked last Sabbath morning to hear that Perry Tucker had passed away about daylight.
Mr. Tucker was an employee in the post office, and had been confined to his residence for about two weeks with the mumps, and not thought to be seriously ill, but had a relapse and called the doctor again and was treated for diphtheria symptoms, but not thought to be seriously ill, and his death Sunday morning was sudden and unexpected.
He was a young man of exemplary habits and amiable character and has been a successful teacher and with his wife has been teaching in South Mississippi until a few months ago he moved to our city to accept the position in the post office.
Our sympathy goes out to his heart broken parents, Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Tucker of Chulahoma, and his wife, who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stroup, of the Oak Grove Dairy.
The remains were taken to the home burying ground near Chulahoma.
