He was born on August 3, 1930 to Claud and Julie Belle Thrasher Forman in Alcorn County, Mississippi.
He entered the U. S. Army in May, 1951,, and was discharged in May, 1953. He met the love of his life Betty Griffin in May, 1953. They married December 24, 1958.
Shorty loved to deer hunt and collect knives. He never met a stranger. He was well loved by his church family at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church where was a member.
He is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers: Clyde Forman, Cleatus Forman, Carl (Opal Smith) Forman, John Robert Forman, Clinton Forman, James Edgar Forman, and Billy Wayne (Joyce Thomas)Forman;
four sisters: Gladys Forman (Baxter) Elam, Daisy Forman (Frank) Allen, Edith Forman (Murry) Gant and Mabel Forman (James Reed) Allen; brother-in-laws: Harold Bright, Charles Switcher, Charles (Effie) Griffin, Oneal (Betty) Griffin; sister-in-law, Shirley Griffin (Marvin) Butler.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Griffin, one son, Ronnie Forman, both of Corinth, two sisters: Eva Bright and Evelena Switcher both of Corinth.
Pallbearers are: Scottie Dix, David Griffin, Danny Griffin, Byron Bonds, Donnie Chase, and Darron Morelock.
